M4 iMac apgraded features in nutshell
Apple recently launched the M4 iMac with great design and functionality upgrades. It looks the same. (except for the new color) But when you look closely at the update, There's a lot more going on. However, the base configuration comes with one major upgrade over the M3. Instead of the base option being 8GB RAM, you now get 16GB. That will be important for Apple Intelligence and multitasking. In terms of increasing speed That means photo and video editing performance that is 2.1x faster than the M1 and general performance that is up to 6x faster than popular Intel-based iMacs. The 24-inch iMac has the same all-in-one design. It has a flat rectangular body that is astonishingly thin at just 0.45 inches. Display support has greatly improved even today. With up to two external monitors at 6K 60Hz or one 8K 120Hz screen. The webcam has also been greatly improved from a 1080p camera to a full Center Stage 12MP snapper, ensuring the most advanced image quality on FaceTime. The stand's hinge allows you to tilt it at an angle of about 40 degrees, with holes on the back for cable management. The Thunderbolt 4 port remains in the lower-right corner of the system. And the Ethernet option can be found on the power brick you connect your iMac to. One of the new things (making it seven colors) are the new bright colors you can choose from: green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. Cables and accessories are color matched to your system for a tasteful, all-in-one look. Magic Keyboard and Magic The included mouse still works great. It has plenty of chiclet key depth and a smooth multi-touch surface on the mouse.
